Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This page is a working draft prepared for Bordon Security Ltd and should be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before it is relied upon or published as final.

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on this website.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner.

How we use cookies

This website is built to function without relying on non-essential cookies. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept or reject optional cookies. Accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and continuing to browse is never treated as consent. The categories are:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function. At present this is a single first-party cookie, bordon_consent, which remembers your cookie choice (and the version of this policy, CP-2026-10) for about six months. It cannot be switched off and does not identify you.
  • Analytics: would help us understand how visitors use the site and which campaigns bring them, so we can improve it. We do not currently run any analytics tools. If we add one, it will only run if you have accepted this category, and we will update this policy first.
  • Marketing and advertising: would be used to measure advertising and show relevant adverts, for example on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or Google. We do not currently use any, and none will run unless you accept this category and this policy has been updated.
  • Form security check: our enquiry form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that submissions come from a person rather than an automated program. Turnstile is used only for this security purpose and not for advertising or tracking. It may process technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics.
  • Temporary form draft: while you complete the enquiry form, your answers are kept temporarily in your own browser (session storage) so that they are not lost if the page reloads or a submission fails. This stays on your device, is deleted when you close the browser tab, and is cleared as soon as your enquiry is sent successfully.
  • Campaign details (only if you accept analytics): if you arrive through a link carrying campaign tags (for example from an advertisement) and have accepted analytics cookies, the campaign details, the page you started on and the website that referred you are kept in session storage for your visit, so they can be recorded with a form you later submit. If you have not accepted analytics, only the page you are on when you submit is used. This is deleted when you close the browser tab.

Changing your choice

You can review or change your choice at any time using the link, also available in the footer of every page.

Managing cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Restricting cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites you visit.

Third-party content

Where our enquiry form is processed through a third-party email delivery service, that provider may set its own cookies or use similar technologies as part of delivering that service. We will update this policy if third-party analytics or advertising cookies are introduced.
