Typical duties and scope
- Providing a visible, approachable presence at entrances and within the trading floor or public areas
- Supporting teams with loss-prevention awareness and incident reporting
- Assisting with opening and closing procedures
- Coordinating with store or venue management and colleagues during incidents
- Responding proportionately to shoplifting, anti-social behaviour or disputes
- Maintaining incident logs for management and, where relevant, the police
How the service is tailored
Assignments are shaped around trading hours, footfall patterns and the specific concerns of each store, centre or venue, with instructions agreed alongside management.
Licensing and site requirements
Where duties fall within the scope of licensable conduct, officers hold the relevant SIA licence. Bordon does not deploy personnel to carry out regulated door supervision activities without the correct licence for that role.
