Mobile and Response Services
Alarm Response
When an alarm activates out of hours, someone needs to check the site. Alarm response provides trained attendance so the situation is assessed and reported, and the right people are contacted.
What it is
An alarm response officer attends your premises following an alarm activation, carries out a check of the exterior and, where agreed, the interior, and reports what was found. The officer contacts the keyholder, site contact or emergency services as set out in your agreed instructions.
How this service is delivered
Delivered directly or with a specialist partner
Depending on the location, technical requirements and availability, this service may be delivered directly by Bordon Security or coordinated with a suitably qualified specialist partner. The proposed delivery arrangement will be explained before any commitment is made.

- Businesses with an intruder alarm that is monitored by an alarm receiving centre
- Premises whose insurers expect an attended response
- Organisations without staff able to attend out of hours
- Sites that combine alarm response with keyholding or mobile patrols
Typical duties and scope

- Checking the exterior and, where agreed, the interior
- Resetting or securing the premises where agreed
- Contacting the keyholder, site contact or emergency services
- Providing a written report of the attendance
How the service is tailored
Alarm response depends on how your alarm is monitored, how far the site is from the nearest available officer, and what you want done on arrival. We agree these points in writing, and we do not promise a specific attendance time unless it has been assessed and confirmed for your site.
Licensing and site requirements
Officers attending alarm activations hold the appropriate SIA licence where the activity requires it. This service is subject to location and availability, and may be delivered directly or coordinated with a suitably qualified partner. Alarm response does not replace emergency services.
Services are subject to assessment, availability and agreed scope. Where appropriate, Bordon Security may coordinate delivery with suitably qualified service partners. Bordon Security remains your point of contact for the service agreed with you.
Let's discuss your site.
